Maureen O'Hara Biography

 Maureen O'Hara, an American actor and singer with Irish heritage was a well-known persona. The fiery, passionate role she played in a variety of American films was what attracted attention to the green-eyed beauty. Her stunning look and natural beauty was well-loved. The actress was known in Hollywood as the "Queen of Technicolor". Her roles onscreen reflect her strong, brave spirit. She was determined to be recognized and survival within the male-dominated world. She always called herself the "tough Irish lass" who would never compromise with her honor and status to land the roles she deserved through merit. She was an ardent supporter of women's roles in both television and film and gained a large following because of it. Her autobiography, "Tis herself", published in 2004 gave an open description of her life including her struggles when she made her way up the ladder to success. She was an adventurous lady who wasn't afraid of doing her own stunts. She appeared in more than 60 films throughout the years and was a pillar of fame internationally. Moving on from Parra her second marriage, she got married in the year 1968 to Charles F. Blair Jr. who was a brigadier in the past, former chief pilot, and a pioneer of transatlantic aviationto mention a few achievements. O'Hara finally retired after a few years of marriage. Blair, however, was killed in a tragic plane accident in 1978. O'Hara's happiness lasted only a few days. The same year, she was diagnosed with uterine cancer and required urgent surgery. She was eventually cured. Her health deteriorated as time went by and she was later diagnosed with heart attacks that caused six, short term memory loss and diabetes mellitus type 2. On the 24th of October, 2015, O'Hara died peacefully at Boise, Idaho, from natural causes at 95.
