Deborah Rhea Seehorn Bio

 Deborah Rhea Seehorn was born on May 12, 1972. Most well-known is her role as the attorney Kim Wexler on AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-2018), for which she was recognized with the Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress in a TV Series, Miniseries, or Television Film. The show also starred her in the NBC series Whitney (2011)-2013 and ABC's I'm with Her(2003)-2004, and TNT's Franklin & Bash (2011)-2014. Deborah Rhea Seehorn, a Norfolk native was born on 12 May, 1972. Her mother was executive secretary in the United States Navy, her father was an agent in Naval Investigative Service. The family lived in Washington, D.C., Arizona, Japan, and was frequently moved throughout her youth. From a young age she was inspired by her grandparents and grandfather to study painting, drawing and architecture. She continued pursuing the art of drawing, but also developed an interest in acting that was growing and was introduced to contemporary theater in college. She earned her degree from George Mason University in 1994 with a degree in Studio Art. While in college, Seehorn was looking to be a theater actor, following the advice of her acting professor. She attempted to make her mark by working at various ancillary roles in D.C. theater. She managed to land several important roles in local theater productions. But she needed to find odd jobs to earn a living. To pay the bills she was also able to take on roles in short industrial instructional films. In the next few years, she was able to land roles on television productions. The roles she played were usually that were "very wry and sarcastic" as her idol Bea Arthur. But, the majority of these roles were short-run series cancelled after one or two seasons. Seehorn was cast as Kim Wexler in the Breaking Bad prequel series Better Call Saul in May 2014. Seehorn plays Kim Wexler (a lawyer) and is the love interest of the main character, Jimmy McGill/Saul.
