Michelle Lynn Monaghan, born on the 23rd of March, 1976 is an American actress. Her starring roles include Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005) and Gone Baby Gone (2008). She also appeared in for Gone Baby Gone (2008), Made of Honor (2008) and Trucker (2008). Source Code (2011), Pixels (2015) and Patriots Day (2016). She has also received recognition for her leading role in the role of Julia Meade in the action spy film series Mission: Impossible, appearing in Mission: Impossible III (2006), Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol (2011), and Mission: Impossible - Fallout (2018).On television, Monaghan starred as Maggie Hart in the debut season of the crime-drama show True Detective (2014), in which she earned nominations for the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress. In the drama series The Path (2016), she played the character of Sarah Lane. Monaghan played Eva Geller in the 2020 Netflix thriller series Messiah; the show was pulled after just one season. Monaghan was the daughter of Sharon Hammel (a factory worker) in Winthrop. Monaghan has two brothers older than her, Bob and John. Monaghan is an Catholic with Irish and German descent . She has graduated from East Buchanan High School, 1994. After graduating, Monaghan moved to Chicago to pursue a journalism degree before pursuing modeling. She modelled in Milan, Singapore, Tokyo and Hong Kong, as well as in the United States. In 1999, she had one more semester to finish her journalism degree. She then moved to New York to pursue an acting career. She became a model, appearing in several magazines and catalogs, before making her acting debut.
