Emily Swallow

American actress Emily Swallow was born December 18th 1979. She is well-known for her role as Kim Fischer on The Mentalist and as Amara The Darkness in the 11th season of Supernatural. She was also the Armorer in Star Wars' live-action series The Mandalorian. Emily played a small role in The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born December 18, 1979, in Washington, D.C. Her family grew up in Sterling, Virginia, as well as Jacksonville, Florida. Swallow started acting in Stanton College Preparatory School. She also took part in professional and amateur productions of theatre. Swallow graduated from Stanton College Preparatory School in the city of Jacksonville in 2001, with the degree of Bachelor of Arts in Middle Eastern Studies. She was then able to go on to study to earn an MFA in Acting at the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. In 2008, she made her film debut in The Lucky Ones, a military drama. She appeared in two international premieres: Donald Margulies' play The Country House, Los Angeles' Geffen Playhouse; and Mark Rylance's show Nice Fish, at the Guthrie Theatre. [citation required] She was the winner of the Falstaff Award in 2010 for the best female actress for the part of Kate in The Taming of the Shrew. In 2012, Swallow and Jac Huberman created a stage production titled Jac N Swallow. It was staged in Joe's Pub and the Laurie Beeckman Theater in New York. The show is based on the hilarious mishaps of the duo when they face a variety of situations with different degrees of sanity and dignity.
